Challenge
Katy Enger needed a modeling portfolio that lets casting and collaborators browse work by mood — Classic (editorial & studio), Lifestyle (on location & active), and Playful (candid energy) — without a heavy CMS or a slow photo dump. The photography is the product. The site had to stay out of the way: fast loads, clear sets, and an obvious next step to view a full gallery or get in touch.
Build
I shipped a focused portfolio at katyenger.com around three gallery lanes and image-first browsing.
Category hubs. Classic, Lifestyle, and Playful each open into a full set view so visitors self-select by look instead of scrolling an undifferentiated grid.
Image-first delivery. Large finals are served through optimized image delivery so gallery browsing stays snappy on mobile and desktop — critical when every page is photography.
Quiet chrome. Navigation and typography stay minimal so the frames read first. The homepage introduces the three moods and routes into the sets without marketing filler.
Result
A clean, bookable modeling portfolio: three clear looks, full-set browsing, and performance that keeps the photography sharp. Casting and collaborators can find the right mood in a few taps.
